The maximum range (from camera to receiver) can be as much as 1,000 feet (direct line of sight and no obstructions of either a physical or electrical nature). A more likely range would vary between 200-700 feet depending on the type of obstructions the video signal encounters. This transmitter will transmit your video through walls, but keep in mind that the number and composition of walls between the transmitter and receiver will affect the signal.
This camera uses 1/4 inch CCD technology (charged coupled device) for image sensing. This is the very same technology that is widely used in astrophotography to produce images of celestial objects light years away. The lens is a 3.7mm wide angle. The resolution of the image produced is 380 lines. Minimum illumination required is 1 Lux.
