The tsuba (guard) is steel and heart shaped just as the one carried by Lou Wo. The habaki (blade collar) is colored to imitate antique brass and has a pebbled texture. The fuchi (the blade collar opposite the habaki) shows the same faux antique brass finish and is decoratively engraved. The blade of Lou Wo's Katana is 27 inches of polished stainless steel. The tsuka (handle) is 11 inches in length with the kashira (buttcap) having the same faux antique brass coloring as both the habaki and fuchi. The tsuka also features double pegging and faux same rayskin with a menuki (Japanese ornament) on both sides under the traditional cotton sageo plaiting.
